I’ve been seeing the news story repeated, concerning Tim Pawlenty’s statement that Michele Bachmann may not be fit to be President because she suffers migraines.

Because, you know, she’s a woman. And women are weak and unable to stay the course. At least, that’s the undertone I thought I was picking up; I was surprised, and not, when a Twitter friend of mine confirmed my radar.

’ “Migraines” ‘, says she, ‘is misogynist code speak. It’s like snide remarks about “periods”, “moods” & “PMS”. All encourage discrimination.’

So nice to know that the GOPatriarchy can’t even let a woman run for office without slinging snide sexism at her. (I believe she’s unfit because she’s an ignorant boor, but that’s something that’s irrespective of gender.)
